Description
This is a Bendigo local, gifted to us by Pete the maintenance man at La Trobe University. This medium sized, red tomato was the only one grown by Pete and his father before him, derived from the canning tomatoes that were extensively grown around Bendigo in years past. We think it is probably the offspring of Campbells 33, a red processing tomato from back when the commercial growers were interested in taste. Its production of uniform, tasty tomatoes makes it great for bottling, but it is equally good for fresh eating.
